Brentford stuns Liverpool in shock upset

Liverpool suffered a shocking 1-3 defeat against Brentford on Monday, with a series of defensive errors damaging their bid for a top four finish in the Premier League.

Brentford took the lead through an own goal by Ibrahima Konate in the first half, and Yoane Wissa doubled the lead with a goal from a corner kick.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain pulled one back for Liverpool, but Bryan Mbeumo sealed the win for Brentford with a goal in the second half. The defeat leaves Liverpool in sixth place, four points behind fourth placed Manchester United. Brentford, who are on a six-game unbeaten run in the league, moved up to seventh place.
